Post-Purchase Title Insurance
Title Insurance on ‘Existing’ Properties
In most purchase transactions, we arrange title insurance for our clients but, we can also assist our clients in arranging for title insurance on residential, single family properties that our clients already own.
Fees and disbursements for this type of service vary based on the particular attributes of the property in question. The following is only an example based on a residential, single family property with a value of less than $500,000.00 (actual charges for a particular property will vary depending on particular circumstances; all figures subject to change without notice):

Clients will need to provide:
- A survey, if in their possession;
- Evidence of property value, acceptable to the title insurer - for example, an appraisal or the last MPAC assessment;
- If a mortgage has been discharge since the date the client(s) took title; confirmation from the clients that such mortgage was indeed paid by them);
- Other documentation as may be requested by the title insurer.
